Uplifting the Unhoused Initiative

Our Uplifting the Unhoused Initiative involves the most overlap of all the services we offer due to the many needs of the unhoused. Our nonprofit’s outreach follows a “one-touch model” to ensure we are providing as many services as we can to our unhoused clients, since we most likely will not see them again after our interaction.

We provide on-the-spot application and enrollment counseling for MediCal, Covered CA, and CalFresh/CalWORKS, while distributing NARCAN and educating individuals how/when to use it.

For our unhoused clients who we are able to stay in contact with, we provide case management, peer support services, and Domestic Violence counseling.

Supporting Shelters and Nonprofits

We also help build capacity for homeless shelters by providing free/discounted CPR & First Aid classes to their staff, like when we taught at Union Rescue Mission in Skid Row.
