Empowering the community with life-saving skills and health education

Services

  • We provide CPR and First Aid training sessions to low-income, unhoused, and underserved populations, as well as the nonprofits that serve them.

    We also distribute AEDs, Naloxone (NARCAN), and Fentanyl Testing Strips.

  • We provide Health Insurance Enrollment Counselling for Covered California and MediCal, and we assist in helping individuals acquire Public Benefits (CalFresh, CalWORKS, etc).

  • We research policies that will allow for systemic change to fight health inequities.

Empowering individuals through education and support

Our goal is to equip community members with the necessary knowledge and skills to confidently respond to emergencies and navigate the healthcare system. Through comprehensive health education and effective system navigation, we strive to empower individuals to proactively manage their own well-being.

We have now taught over 60 people CPR!

Our First CPR Class!

We were thrilled to host our very first CPR & First Aid Certification at LA Mission.

Participants learned Adult and Infant CPR, how to use an AED, and General First Aid. These staff members, who work directly with unhoused populations in LA’s Skid Row, are now certified by the Red Cross and are equipped with the skills they need to confidently intervene in a medical emergency. Thanks for having us LA Mission!
